Hello! We are Ana and Jonathan Nyeholt, owners of Wick & Spice LLC. We make candles because enjoying the candle experience is something that brings us together as a family. In 2021, we decided to establish Wick & Spice to share the candle experience that we grew to love with other families. 

Many of our customers ask where we are from. Jonathan’s roots are in Florida, and Ana’s roots are in Maryland. How did we end up in Greenville? We met in South Carolina and decided to start our family here. We enjoy running Wick & Spice here and sharing the candle experience with our young children.

Something that defines us is that we are both musicians. One thing you might notice in our shop is that our candles are labeled with opus (op.) numbers. We decided to reflect our love for music in our business by incorporating the system typically used to chronologically number works of music and art. Candlemaking appeals to both the creativity and the methodology that we enjoy in music. It’s just using the medium of scent rather than sound.

One of the biggest reasons we make candles for ourselves and others is because we wanted to enjoy the candle experience without worrying about health concerns such as air pollutants and toxic chemicals. So we set out and found the best fragrances, wax, and wicks to make candles that we enjoyed and that gave us peace of mind as we enjoyed them. We love sharing our beautiful scents that we love with other people and passing on the pleasure of a well-made, health-conscious candle experience.
